It's Their NatureAn avid golfer decided to buy some insurance. The agent asked if he had experienced any accidents. The interested buyer thought for moment and said, "Not really. About a three months ago I was bitten by a snake while looking for a golf ball. I almost died from that. Then I was attacked by an alligator while playing in Florida and he bit off one of my fingers."The insurance agent eyes bugged out and he asked, "Don't you call those accidents?"The golfer replied, "No, those were not accidents because the snake and alligator both bit me on purpose!"Interestingly, creatures act according to their nature. The golfer was saying that the snake and alligator were just acting according to their nature.That brings up the question of how we act as Christians. If the nature of God is in you, you should act accordingly. That is why the Bible tells us to walk in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in us (Galatians 5:25). Jesus said to the religious leaders who were lost, "You are of your father, the devil!"
