A RutPhilippians 3:13, "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead." NKJV"A rut is a grave with both ends open." Life can be monotonous and boring. Several years ago I found myself in a rut. My life was marked "routine." Then I found this statement that has revolutionized my ministry and my spirit. "If you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always got." Too many people live in the mundane. Everyday is an exploration in boredom rather than an adventure in the spectacular.Paul let's us know that life is to be lived by reaching forward not looking back. Life is to be full and rich with energy and excitement. Christ did not die in vain. He died to give us new life. We are new creations in Christ Jesus. He wants us to experience this new life everyday. We need to look for new horizons. Our thoughts should be about the next adventure. Living in the doldrums will stifle all God's creativity in our lives. Are you in a rut? Does life offer you the same thing day after day? Is God trying to break through in your spirit with a new attitude? Examine your life today. Ask your friends and family about your routine. Call on the Lord for a new start. Let Him fill your life with invigorating opportunities. The grave will disappear and life will be fresh.Hearse For Sale !
