NKJVOur nation's leaders many times suggest they can bring us peace. Politicians promise security they cannot give. We know that our soldiers are the greatest in the world. They are fighting to keep us from harm. They are the bravest and noblest of all, yet they cannot give us the deep-rooted peace and safety, that we need.Real peace and safety come from only one source. His name is Jesus, the God-man. I hear a lot of talk about real lasting peace. There is no such thing outside the Lord Christ. A quote says: "You cannot know the peace of God until you know the God of peace." (Zingers)Are you looking for peace and safety? Are you anxious about the future? In our verse today, Christ offers peace to our lives. This is not the same kind of peace that the politicians promise. This is that deep personal assurance that God is in control and the salvation He offers us is eternal. Call on the Lord today and find the peace you need. Thank Him for your safety, and then pray for our brave soldiers throughout the world.
