Full TankDr. David Hammonds1 John 1:4 reads, "And these things we write to you that your joy may be full." NKJVHigh gas prices have changed the lifestyle of many people. I heard one man say that he never allows his car to go below a half tank. Another person said that they would not let the fuel indicator get to the "E." A news reporter informed her audience that they should always keep enough gas to be able to find the cheaper prices. Allowing our fuel tanks to run low will definitely cost more money in the long run.The same can be said for believers in our spiritual journey. Living a victorious Christian life is dependent upon our joy. We cannot afford to allow our joy tank to run out. We must always be aware of our level of joy. Believers are always at risk in the areas of depression, discouragement, and disillusionment. These attitudes drain us of our joy. Christ has given us everything we need to be joyous. Our verse reveals that the Word of God was written to keep our joy tanks full. Are you running low on joy? Has the enemy been successful in depleting your spiritual fuel? Joy is essential, so fill up today. Call on the Lord. Ask Him to give you a new attitude. Think on the blessings of salvation, sanctification, and security. Soon you will be filled with so much joy it may begin to run out of your eyes. God is glorified, and we bless Him when we are joyous.Another Kleenex moment!!!!!!!think on these thingsDr. David HammondsSardis Baptist ChurchPalmetto, Georgia
