Security DetailPsalm 91:11 states, "For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways." NKJV"On June 23, 1860 the United States Secret Service was created. Their job was to protect against counterfeiting but after the assassination of President William McKinley in 1901 the Secret Service was expanded to protect the President." (On This Day, p.179, ed. Ken Trivette) We have seen the protection of the Secret Service, and there is a sense of security in our nation that our President is safe.For the child of God who is pursuing a life of dedication to the Savior there is also protection. God has His angels watching out for us. Millions of stories describe this truth. Personally, I have had several incidents that would have ended in death, but God's angels were there to protect me. We have the assurance that we are not alone. God has provided this security for our benefit. He loves us more than we can know.Do you feel uneasy at times? Are you anxious about your future? Have you seen God's angels at work lately in your life? God has your present and future in His hands. Call on Him and thank Him for the assurance of His grace. The security you have in Christ can be a great comfort.
