Looking Alike?2 Corinthians 3:18, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." NKJVStudies have been done that indicate married couples can end up looking like one another. Researchers say that this happens because the couple spends a great deal of time mimicking the facial expressions of their mate. These contortions of the face result in the couple's faces taking on similar shapes. www.boston.com/partners/whdh/3/7healtharchives.htmlWe know this is true of Christians. The principle is that the longer we walk with the Lord the more we become like Him. We begin to mimic His character. We take on a different appearance in our lives. Our verse today reveals that the change in our lives is accomplished by progressive steps. A young believer may not look and act like Christ. Sometimes even aged believers don't resemble Christ. The progress is one step at-a-time. The Lord delights in us changing to look like Him. It is our great privilege to be changed into His image.Do you resemble Christ in your behavior? Do people see Jesus in you? If not, call on the Lord today. Ask Him to begin transforming you. Watch how He begins to do the "make over." Soon your friends and loved ones may not recognize you. In time you will be glad and honored to look like the Savior. There is hope for all of us.WWJDthink on these thingsDavid HammondsSardis Baptist ChurchPalmetto, Georgia
