Make Me A BlessingPhilippians 2:13, "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." NKJVOne of the greatest joys of life is to be a blessing to someone. I have found a component of a good marriage is to be a blessing to your spouse. I get a tremendous thrill out of blessing Sandra. I love to do things for her that make her fall madly in love with me. Often when she is enjoying one of my blessings she will say, "This is one of the greatest things you have ever done for me." At that moment I can truly say, "It doesn't get any better than this!!!!"What a delight it is to be a blessing to our Savior. The secret to living a life of joy and purpose is found in our verse today. God is at work in us to do the things that bring Him pleasure. The more we live out God's desires in our lives, the more we will find fulfillment and peace. It is such a glorious moment in our lives when we know we have done exactly what He wanted. Our goal in the Christian walk should be to hear Him say, "This is one of the greatest things you have ever done for me." What a thrill. There is total contentment when we know we have brought pleasure to our Lord.Do you live to get a blessing or be a blessing? Our challenge today is to lay aside our agenda for those around us. Then, in complete dedication, lay aside our dreams and plans for the opportunity to bring pleasure to God. Give your life to Him today. You will never regret blessing God. You will be happy all your days when you know that your life is a pleasure to Him.
