Who Do You Favor?

2 Corinthians 3:18, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." NKJVRecently Sandra and I met a new family. Sandra immediately noticed that the son favored the dad. She exclaimed to the young man, "Do you know how much you look like your father?" The young man shyly nodded his head. It made me think about my kids. Do they look like me? I sure hope not. This is not true of our Heavenly Father. We should desire to look like Him. I wonder how many believers favor our Lord. If you were to stand beside Christ Jesus, what resemblance would people see? Would people see that we look and act like Christ, or would they suspect us as being a "foster" child.Do people see Christ Jesus in you? Can they tell you are God's child? Our challenge is to be sure that we portray the Lord in the glory due His name. We are to live blameless lives for His sake. If you have failed, call on Him now. Confess that you have come short of His glory. Begin anew, have a strong commitment to being more like Christ.Say cheese!!think on these thingsDavid HammondsSardis Baptist ChurchPalmetto, Georgia
