2 Corinthians 10:5,..." casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,..." NKJVThe security system in our house has a detector at the end of the hallway. Most of the time I never notice it. When I get up in the middle of the night to get some water, I enter the hallway. All of a sudden this red light turns on. It tells me, "Get back in bed you are not allowed in the hallway." We need that kind of security in our thought life. I read today that most people have approximately 604,000 thoughts a day. That's a lot of thinking. With all that busy thinking we need to have protection from bad thoughts. The Lord has made it possible for us to live without having terrible thoughts. Certainly, we all battle negative, depressing, mean-spirited, evil thoughts, but we should cast them out immediately. We are not to dwell on these thoughts. We are to keep a guard on our thought life. When we protect our life from those clandestine thoughts we will be able to avoid strongholds in our lives. King David prayed that his thought life would be acceptable in God's sight (Psa 19:14).Do you have a battle in your thought life? You are not alone. Much is written in God's Word about this spiritual battle. Our verse today has helped me. When these terrible thoughts arise I have learned one key to victory is to cast them out. Refuse to think those thoughts. We can have victory. Let the Holy Spirit become your security. When He turns on the red light about our thoughts we should listen. Call on the Lord today. He will quickly change your thinking. You day will be blessed thinking good thoughts. No recordings allowed!!!think on these thingsDavid HammondsSardis Baptist ChurchPalmetto, Georgia
