What Sin Is!Pastors have a tough job. Sometimes people say things to pastors that leave them scratching their heads. Take the following story for instance.A new pastor asked a lady leaving the church one Sunday morning what she thought of his sermon. She replied, "It was very helpful. I learned a lot. You know, we really didn't know what sin was till you came here!"Sadly, many Christians are becoming examples of sinful living. It is hard to believe that just a few years ago Brittney Spears appeared in a magazine as an example of how a Christian can be in entertainment and live a Christian life. A lot has changed since then! Christianity is in crisis. Fallen ministers, backslidden leaders and unfaithful members of the church are not setting a Christlike example to the world. Jesus said, "You are the salt of the earth...and the light of the world." Matthew 5:13-16Each of us should look at our lives and ask, "If I were the only witness in my community, would people be able to see Jesus reflected through my words, my behavior, my attitudes and my life in general?"Dr. J.
