Perry Hancock has served for 11 years as the President of the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home. Before coming to the Children's Home he served as a faculty member and Dean of Graduate Studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to his service at NOBTS, he served as a senior pastor at 3 Louisiana churches. He is a graduate of Louisiana College and earned the MRE and PhD degrees from NOBTS.

He is the author of Changing Hearts - Saving Lives: Rescuing the Poor in Jesus' Name and a contributor to the Eerdman's Bible Dictionary and Toolbox for Busy Pastors. Dr. Hancock is currently working on a second book entitled, The Compassionate Church.

Dr. Hancock lives in Monroe, LA where he enjoys God's gift of life with his wife, Tonya and his extended
family which includes two grandchildren.
