Dr. Curtis Kelly is pastor of the Taylorville Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is an Alabama native and graduated from Tennessee Temple College (now University), Chattanooga; Tenn. with a BA degree. He received his Master of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary; and PhD from International Seminary, Orlando, Fl.

He is Married to Barbara Duke and is the father of three children: Mark (deceased, cancer); Krista - speech and hearing therapist, under contract with Pickens County Board of Education; Matthew, pastor, Christian Valley Baptist Church, Livingston, Alabama. He has six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He pastored these churches: Ridgecrest Baptist, Tuscaloosa, Alabama (two pastorates, for almost 25 years total); Glenwood Hills BC, Macon, Georgia; First Baptist, Lexington, Alabama, First Baptist Talladega, Alabama; and now Taylorville Baptist, Tuscaloosa.

He has served on numerous committees with the Alabama Baptist State Convention, including State Board of Missions (now in his third term) and the Executive Committee. He served on and was chairman of the Global Partnerships committee for the ABSC. He served two terms on the Christian Life Commission. He has served on numerous committees in local Associations. He was President of the Pastors' conference in Lexington, Alabama and in Tuscaloosa, Alabama several times.

His delight and joy is to be a preacher/teacher of God's inerrant Word. He does expository preaching, is pre-millenial in eschatology, and does quite a lot of prophetical teaching. His motto is "Preaching the Blood, the Book and the Blessed Hope."
