Dr. Rick Lance

Alabama Baptist Convention
As executive director of the State Board of Missions and treasurer of the Alabama Baptist Convention, State Missionary Rick Lance is seeking to give leadership to 3,200+ churches and more than one million Alabama Baptists.
Elected in June of 1998, Rick served as executive director-elect from July 15, 1998, to Jan. 31, 1999. On February 1, 1999, he assumed his official duties following the retirement of his predecessor, Troy Morrison.
Previously, Rick served as pastor for 29 years. His most recent pastorate, First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, is where he served 15 years. The churches where he has ministered range in size from a few hundred to almost 5,000 in total membership.
Rick and his wife, Pam, are members of Vaughn Forest Baptist Church, Montgomery. They have two daughters.
