Kris Palmer

Kris R. Palmer is currently the President of Heartland Christian College, a two-year Bible College in rural northeast Missouri. He has been the President since 2003, after having served in various other capacities within the college since 1992. The college has a small, but diverse group of students from all over the world. It is a part of the Heartland Community, an intentional Christian community founded in connection with Heartland Community Church.

Kris is a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University, where he received a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice. He served for a period of time as a Probation and Parole Officer for the State of Missouri. Kris has been in the ministry for over 30 years, starting as the pastor of a rural church. He then served as an associate pastor for ten years, in a church located in a small college town. While on that team he oversaw the children's educational programs, which led to his current position at Heartland Christian College.

Kris obtained his Master of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Biblical Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, in 2008. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership from Lancaster Bible College, in Lancaster, PA .

He has been married for over 35 years. He and his wife Martha have four children ranging in age from adulthood to high school. The three oldest children are married, and the Palmers are blessed with eight grandchildren.
