Bill Bennett

Dr. Bill Bennett has pastored churches ranging from 85 to 8000 members for fifty years. His major pastorate was the 8000 member First Baptist Church, Fort Smith Arkansas where he served for 19 years. The church under his leadership became an International Base of Evangelism Explosion (EE) training. Three thousand people were trained to share their faith across the world. After pastoring a half century, the Lord clearly called him into a Mentoring Ministry. He is now Founder and President of Mentoring Men for the Master International, through which he is pouring his life into hundreds of young men across the world. He has just released his book, Handbook for Mentoring. He is also serving as Professor of Preaching and Pastoral Ministries and Campus Chaplain at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N. C. 1994-2006.

Dr. Bennett is a Suma Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kapa graduate of Wake Forest University (BA 1948). He earned his Master of Arts and Master of Divinity at Duke University (1948-1953). He earned his Th.D. at New Orleans Seminary (1965).

Dr. Bennett has served in several places of leadership in the SBC such as a member of the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Conventin for twelve years; State Chairman of Evangelism, North Carolina Baptist Convention; and Trustee of Ouachita Baptist University. He has written ten books, one of which is a volume on expository preaching, Thirty Minutes to Raise the Dead. He has just finished a book titled Politically Incorrect Answers to Today's Burning Issues.

Dr. Bennett is in great demand as a speaker across America and around the world. He has been married to Doris Palmer Bennett for 54 years and has three Christian sons, Dr. Bill Jr., Philip and David. He is busier than ever in his life having the Spirit of Caleb bestowed upon him by his gracious heavenly Father.
