Philippians 1:6, . . “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; . . “ NKJV
Years ago the Timex watch was touted to "take a licking and keep on ticking." Next came the "Energizer Bunny." Now there is a paint that has a lifetime guarantee. I am waiting for the time when there is a car which will never break down. Say "Amen" right there!!
What God has promised, He will do!! It is a comfort to know this truth. He has assured us that He did not just save us and then leave us to live out the Christian life by ourselves. He began working in us and He will continue to do so even when we are at the point of giving up. I like the song that says "the blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power." It is still working in our lives today.
Sometimes there is a temptation to quit. The enemy whispers, "Just give up." When you have those moments, call out to God. He is here to help us when we can't help ourselves. He is on the job today. Remember, when the Lord starts something He finishes it. Relax in knowing that one day we will see Him and the stamina for the course is up to Him.
