Piggy Bank

Philippians 4:19, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." NKJV

A fellow was shopping for a commercial mower. His grandson was helping him check out all the mowers in the showroom. The grandson said, "Poppa, we need to buy two of these."

The grandfather asked, "Why?" The grandson replied, "When one breaks down you will have another to use."

The grandfather asked, "These are very expensive mowers, do you think we have the money?"

Being 4 years old, the answer was simple to the grandson. "I have seven dollars," he replied. The grandfather said, "We are going to need about seven thousand dollars just for one." Then he asked, "Where do you think we can get the money for the mower?"

The grandson, without hesitation said, "At the piggy bank." Of course, the grandson calls all banks "piggy banks."

This little fellow had caught on to a principle that somewhere there was a source for the financial need. This is similar to a principle that every believer should understand. God will take care of our needs, when we have honored Him in our giving. Paul has assured the Philippians of this principle. They had given to help meet Paul's needs. Now, God would supply their needs. God delights in our confidence that He can and will supply all that we need. Our needs are expensive and extensive. His "piggy bank" is open 24 hours a day. He loves to give us a "draw."

Are you in need today? God's plan is to supply you with what you need. Don't spend another day in need of spiritual things. Don't wait for someone else to help you with your physical needs. God will take care of you. Call on Him today. You may need to readjust your giving. You may need to readjust your thinking. God's grace is like a blank check. He is just waiting to fill it out for our needs.

No loans!!

Think on these things.
