Are you a human being or a human doer? God didn't put us on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what we are than what we do. That''s why we're called human beings, not human doers. The fact is... Jesus is the doer in the Christians life. All done by Him through the Christian will last, all done in the flesh by the Christian will fade like grass.
What is Jesus producing through you for His Kingdom’s sake? We all have a spiritual workshop in our heart home. We all have gifts, talents and work tools waiting to be used by the Lord. He wants to come into your workshop and show you how to produce great things for His Kingdom. Have you given your workshop to the Lord’s reign? Many people are not functioning to full spiritual potential because they have never given their workshop to the Lord. The sad fact is that our workshop will be filled with a bunch of useless items if we keep working alone, but when we allow Jesus to work in and through us, wonderful things are created for His glory and honor. Jesus says in John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
The key to the Christian life is staying connected with the Lord. Apart from Him we can do nothing; but with Him all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). What is your decision, who will you work with - yourself or the Lord? Come work with the Lord. The work is hard, the hours are long and the pay is low. But the retirement benefits are out of this world.
