Malachi 3: 6a "For I am the LORD, I do not change; NKJV
"The more things change the more they stay the same." As I continue through life I am amazed at the things that change. We all know that we must be prepared to change. Sandra went to work for a large company when we moved to Dalton, GA. An older employee told her that she should know one thing about the company. "This company loves to change things around, but not to worry, in six months it will change again." Some people enjoy the energy that change brings. Others hate to change a thing. It is clear that we are changing every day of our lives. Circumstances and situations change sometimes from moment to moment.
For the believer, the security of change is this fact; the Lord does not change. No matter how things change around us, we have an anchor. His name is Jesus. He is the Rock to which we are secured. Let the winds of change blow all around us, He never moves and we are in Him.
"Change" may be the characterization of your life right now. Don't worry, like the man said, it will change again in six months. Don't let change change you. Keep your heart and eyes on the Lord. He never moves and in the middle of the darkest storm He is always there. Call on Him and feel His security take hold.
