The New PastorLife

Dr. J. Mike Minnix, Editor

PastorLife and SermonCity have been merged into one great website. I began work on SermonCity in the year 2000, and we went live with the site in 2001. In 2005 we changed the name to PastorLife, and I continued to develop the site until 2010, when the Georgia Baptist Convention split the two sites. I was editor of SermonCity after the change and PastorLife was edited by the GBC. In 2015, I was offered the opportunity to unite both sites under More Than Bread Ministries, Inc., a non-profit Christian ministry I formed in the year 2000.

Beginning on the first Monday in 2015, the two websites were completely married as one website. If you visit SermonCity, you will be re-directed to PastorLife. The ministry still offers sermons, illustrations, articles, and commentaries from outstanding preachers and Bible teachers at no cost to the user. This ministry is the fulfillment of a dream God put in my heart many years ago - a vision to provide material for other Christian speakers at no cost or obligation.

At first, you may find some sermons orignally on PastorLife to be missing. This problem is due to the time it will take to reformat some of the sermons to work on the new site. That process is ongoing and eventually all the old sermons from both sites will be avialable on the new PastorLife site.

I share my deep appreciation to the Georgia Baptist Convention, and to Dr. J. Robert White specifically, for believing in this vision and helping get it off the ground from the beginning. Also, I thank those preachers, professors and others who share material for the site without any compensation. Years ago, preachers regularly shared material with each other in order to help inspire one another in the task of preaching and teaching God's Word. This site continues that long tradition.

If the site is a blessing to you, please pass the URL to others you know who will benefit from what others have discovered in God's Word. Blessings to you as you preach and teach God's marvelous Word, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
