Hebrews 4:15, "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." KJV
"I feel your pain" is a quote that some people attribute to former President Bill Clinton. It has become a very popular quote. The person who uses this quote may or may not be sincere in their claim. It is difficult to understand the struggles in someone's life if you have never experienced the same struggles.
Be assured of this fact. Jesus does "feel your pain." This concept is not new. God has told us in His Word that Jesus has struggled with the pain of humanity. He is, of course, victorious over all the struggles of life. He has compassion on us when we are hurting. He is not far away; He is always near.
Life is not pain-free. Every day we experience pain of some sort. Jesus has compassion on us as we face our pain today. Maybe your day is very painful. Don''t lose heart. Jesus, and Jesus alone, knows your hurt and His help is as close as a prayer. Wrap your life in His blanket of compassion, feel His comforting touch, and let the healing begin.
