Galatians 6:10, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” NKJV
A few years ago a friend called to offer me an opportunity to be on the ground floor of a new financial venture. He challenged me that an opportunity like this does not come often in a lifetime. Needless to say, I turned him down. The venture turned out to be a disaster.
For the believer there are, however, great opportunities every day. God gives us tremendous privileges to serve Him. He places great people and great things in our pathways to fill our lives with potential. We are to seize every opportunity. God wants us to avoid risky schemes, but give help to our fellowman. Remember the old song, "Brighten the Corner Where You Are." Every day we can help those around us.
Today maybe the day you will have a great opportunity. Make sure you are ready. Ask the Lord for the wisdom to use every possible opportunity.
