Psalm 147:11, "The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy." NKJV
"Lady" our little Boston Terrier is a joy to Sandra. If the grandkids are not around, and if Lady is not asleep she can be found at Sandra's feet. When Sandra walks down the hallway you can hear Lady's little feet clicking right behind her. She is totally devoted to Sandra which brings Sandra great pleasure!!
The believer should find the same loyalty toward the Lord. He takes pleasure in our constant reverence and respect. He loves for us to follow Him around. He enjoys our constant need for fellowship. The "fear" mentioned in our verse today conveys the idea of deep-rooted trust. He is most pleased by our reverential trust.
What is your obsession? Do you think about Jesus? How much? Do you spend time talking with Him? How much? Does your life depend on His grace? How much? The answers to those questions will reveal our loyalty and devotion to our Savior. Some have lost the joy of the relationship. Today is the best time to renew fellowship with Christ. Call on Him and snuggle in His arms. He loves to hold you.
Time to walk the dog!!
