Proverbs 3:6, "In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." NKJV

It was a rare occasion, but it did happen. I got lost. When we move a new location, I try to learn every road in the area. It is my way of adding adventure to life. The other evening I was in a hurry to get home and I thought I knew a short cut. As it turned out the shortcut became a new learning experience. A few moments after I made the turn I realized I was lost. I determined to drive a little further to see if there was a familiar landmark. That distance became longer rather than shorter.

Finally, I found a road that looked familiar and I was soon on my way home. In my Christian walk there have been times that I have lost my way. Other believers have shared with me that they have, on occasion, lost their way in their walk with Christ. There is no joy in being lost, but there is comfort in knowing that the Lord knows our nature as sheep. He knows we are prone to wander. Our verse today is a great comfort. When we have lost our way we need to call out to the Lord and ask Him for help. When we do this He will direct our paths back to the fold.

There is great joy in returning to the fold. There is the comfort of knowing that He is now leading our lives again. If you have lost your way, call on our great Savior today. He has promised that He will never lose one of us. He will rescue you and bring you back into His security. Don't stay lost too long, you could get hurt wandering around.

Welcome home!!!
